Vulcanised fibre abrasive discs (commonly known as vibe discs) are round abrasive discs with a vulcanised fibre backing material, resin on one side and abrasive grit on the other. Vial discs are used mainly in metalworking with their counterparts in angle grinders. The safety requirements for vial discs and their holding discs are regulated by EN 13743. The maximum peripheral speed (maximum operating speed) for vial discs is 80 m/s.
